Protect Yourself from Periodontal (Gum) Diseases

Gum disease could be painless and you may not even know you have it. Periodontal or gum disease is a pathological inflammation of the gum and bone support surrounding the teeth. What could be a mild gum inflammation can advance from gingivitis to periodontitis.

General dentists are educated to treat early forms of gum diseases. However, it takes extra training and further education to treat more advanced forms of periodontal diseases.

Dr. Del Vecchio is a board-certified periodontist. He has over 40 years of experience in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of early to advanced periodontal (gum) diseases.
